• 🌐 Each nostril and each tear duct opening counts as a through-hole, totaling 4 connections to the nasal cavity.
• 🌐 Blind holes, like pores and hair follicles, number in the millions but don't connect two distinct spaces.
• ⚠️ Accessory ostia (extra openings in sinuses) can add more through-holes, but are usually unknown.
